Alpacas and Such

We seem to constantly be on the go - but I guess that's a good thing...although that means the laundry piles up and the house is never organized and my car is always cluttered...details, details....right?

ALPACAS!

We enjoyed checking out the Alpaca show!

Parks, Parks, and More Parks!

The weather has been pretty fantastic....so we've made plenty of trips to various parks.  The kids love it - and it's a great way to tire them out!

We were glad to have Grandma and Grandpa Bissell stay with us for the week while the kids were on Spring Break.  They made lots of trips to the parks and hiked around the neighborhood.  It was great having my parents here to help out and seeing them enjoy time with the little ones.

We went and cheered on the Horned Frogs at a baseball game - Go Frogs!

The first dandelion wish for my little girl!  LOVE!

Bryce Gets Tubes In His Ears

Little guy got tubes put in his ears - he was a little champ thru it.  We were home by 11am the day of his surgery and besides being a little groggy - he was perfectly fine.   It was certainly nice to see all the new upgrades at Cook Children's hospital - fancy schmancy!

Post surgery - drinking some juice - and totally drugged into a stupor. :)

Boopas 5K

I was thrilled that we had so many friends join us for the Boopas 5K.  This is one of my favorite events!  The proceeds from the run go to the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas.  Plus - the first year that they did this run, I was pregnant with Brianne and we had just found out that she had Down syndrome - so we walked over and it was our first event with the Partnership where I met some of the other families. Along the race route they put out the poster pics of our kiddos and the DS fact signs along the route - so people that are not familiar with Down syndrome are introduced to some neat information and get to see the beautiful smiling faces of individuals with Down syndrome - love this method of spreading awareness!  Plus - registration includes a free dozen bagels....so it's a pretty sweet and delicious deal!

Some of our team!  Thanks so much to everyone for coming out on this chilly wet day!!

First Trip on the Fort Worth Miniature Train!

We ventured out for our first trip on the Ft Worth miniature train - and had a blast!

Totally busted by this picture...when my parents were in town I'd told them 'don't give the kids popcorn'...and then the very next weekend I turn around and try this buttery treat with them.  :)

St. Patty's Day Parade

We had front row seats for the St. Patty's Day parade in the Stockyards!

Catch Up Time!

 Better Late Than Never...
I don't know where the month of February went....I know we had a lot of fun and laughs with the kids, and I was crazy busy helping to organize a silent auction for the Kinderfrogs School fundraiser dinner, and with a week in Cozumel....I suppose that explains why it flew by.

Valentine's Day came and went.  It was a fun task to put together the goodies for the class Valentine's - thank you Pinterest for giving me so many ideas that the hardest part was choosing which one to go with!  I finally settled on 'I'm Beary Glad You're My Friend' and was so thankful for the free printables found here:  Beary Glad You're My Friend Link

A huge thank you to my mother-in-law for putting these together!  They turned out great!
Love!
The kiddos both returned home with goodie-filled bags. Loved that they each decorated their own bag!  :)

 Five Year Anniversary!

Crazy to think that our 5 year anniversary came and went.  Unfortunately my poor husband was dealing with a very horrible illness - so we didn't get to enjoy a big celebration that day or week.

While he was feeling rotten - he still won my heart by cuddling up with the kids
Watching them on the couch was enough to put a smile on my face and remind me how much I love himFive amazing years - and many, many more to come! Love ya honey!

NEW CAR SEAT!

Bryce was super excited to transition to a forward facing car seat (details that this jump makes me a little teary eyed since it is yet another reminder of how fast he's growing up!).

Kinderfrogs Red Carpet Premiere!

The Kinderfrogs Teacher Parent Association hosted a fantastic dinner and silent auction as a fundraiser for the school.  A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who joined us, donated, and helped make this event happen!!  We had a blast!

Note:  Feeding the kids sugary treats right before the babysitter arrived!

My girl's beautiful photo!  A HUGE THANK YOU to Diana Brandenberg (Diana's Info) for taking these fantastic photos of all the lil' Kinderfrogs!!  They were amazing and made the decorations!!

FYI...If you ever get the urge to organize a silent auction....make sure you have a LOT of spare time!!  I don't think I realized what I was getting into when I volunteered to take on that chore.  It took a lot of time and energy...but it came together!  Very thankful to all the generous donors and to all the parents who helped bring in items!  But phew....I'm glad that's done and over with!!

Teacher Wish Lists - the kiddos will have lots of new goodies at school!!!

I was thrilled that we were the high bidder for the Toddler Class project!  A bookshelf made with love by Brianne and her classmates!

March seems to be giving us a little time to unwind and relax....or so I like to think!
