Halloween Happenings

Happy Halloween!

We had a blast at Colby Halloween.  A dorm at TCU goes all out to decorate the halls and invites kiddos of the staff and faculty to go trick-or-treating.  We had a great time with Brianne's classmates!  What a fantastic event!
Little girl as a beautiful witch....she was not having anything to do with her hat!
Cutest Thing 1 and Thing 2 I've ever seen!

This is the picture at the end....it was exhausting walking thru the halls as the kids gathered up oodles of candy!

A HUGE Thank you to everyone that put this together!  We had a great time and really appreciated the opportunity to participate in this event!  Colby Halloween

Fancy Slippers

The kid's received some adorable home-made slippers that came all the way from Calgary!  Krista (Uncle Daniel's girlfriend) made these great booties - Brianne was pretty excited about them!  Thanks Krista - LOVE them!

So cute!  I think Oompa is asking when his slippers are arriving?  Do these come in pug-sizes?? :)

Boo at the Zoo!

Boo at the Zoo meant that the zoo was full of even more creatures - tons of kiddos in costumes!

After Boo at the Zoo we stopped by Sweet Tomatoes for their yummy salad bar!  Delicious!

The kids seemed to enjoy it!

When we finished a street festival was ongoing so it was a nice opportunity to walk around while working to digest all that food!

 Pumpkin Carving Party

Every year we host a pumpkin carving party.  (well - we skipped last year but that was due to life being crazy chaotic as we adjusted to full time working life with two kids....)  This year's party was a great success!  Fun evening with friends - and we made some masterpieces too!

Our friend Charity brought this cake that she had made...it really was just too cute to eat!!!

Pumpkin carving overlapped with the Cowboys game...so Brianne and Bryce sported their Cowboys attire.

Gorillas NOT Welcome Here

Gorilla suits and kids should not be mixed together.  Mark was insistent though....since he has a picture of him as a little one on his dad's lap who had a gorilla suit on.....and so even though I said "absolutely not".....he became the proud owner of a gorilla suit.

Bryce was kind of okay with it....as long as the gorilla face wasn't included.   Pretty sure Bryce was terrified for a few days after seeing the scary gorilla...it was a few long nights here....but I'm optimistic the little guy has now forgotten this incident and we are back to sleeping thru the night without tears....fingers crossed!  Hoping that I can hide the gorilla suit in the back of a closet so it's never seen again.....................Gorillas are NOT welcome here!

Halloween Night Trick-or-Treating

This was us heading out the door - Brianne was ready to go!

I'm fairly certain the kid's favorite part was knocking on the doors.

A garden gnome without his hat and beard kind of looks like a lumber jack...still crazy cute!

Hope you had a great Halloween - we sure did!
